Good Samaritan Hospital

The Rose Walk at the Good Samaritan Hospital highlights many different species and colors of roses, and offers a delightful accent to a peaceful and serene stroll through the hospital grounds. Roses have a long history in their use in folk remedies, including skincare, digestion, headaches, and certain infections. Roses also offer a soothing property to the emotions, and have been known to aid in treatments for conditions of stress and anxiety.

PIoneer Park

Located adjacent to the Veterans Memorial, the Seabrook Garden in Pioneer Park was originally planted with help from early members of the Puyallup Rose Society. The City expanded the garden area to accommodate 20 new glory roses that are specifically cultivated to honor veterans, including Veteran’s Honor and Let Freedom Ring. The garden’s main section also now features a Rosie the Riveter plant in recognition of women who worked in the factories during the second world war, and a rose named Firefighter in tribute to our first responders.
